A special experience on the farm

Get to know life on a real farm! The animals in the barn are happy to be stroked. The large sheltered courtyard offers special views and play opportunities for young and old. Children can explore the tree house and organise races with the children's vehicles. A table tennis table, badminton and a small football pitch are available in summer. You can go for a ride on the tractor with farmer Josef or look after the animals.

The Sponring family

Three generations at the Tunelhof

Three generations of us, the Sponring family, live at the Tunelhof. Farmer's wife Elisabeth lives in the main house with her son Jacob. Her parents Josef and Christa have built their house right next door, in which two cosy apartments are available for rent.

The history of the Tunelhof

Carrying on the precious legacy

Our ancestors bought the Tunelhof farm on the Weerberg around 1900. Until mechanisation began in 1965, the farm was run entirely by hand. Later, the horses were replaced by the tractor, the scythe by the motorised mower and the rake by the hay tedder. Josef Sponring, the young-at-heart senior farmer, decided to plant Christmas trees. A circular route through the Christmas tree culture shows the Christmas trees in their various stages of growth. Cosy spots with benches along the way invite you to linger.
