Hiking is a great way to escape the pressures of everyday life, pause for a moment and slow down. The trails to the serviced huts and mountain pastures are particularly beautiful. The prospect of refreshments at the end of the trail is an incentive for children in particular.

Swimming

Swimming pools and lakes

In summer, you can take a dip in the cool water nearby.

The swimming pool in Schwaz - a large outdoor pool with adventure pool including slides, 10m diving tower, children's pool and other great facilities. The Weißlahn bathing lake in Terfens - with a lovely children's area for safe play in and around the water, an island, large sunbathing lawns, volleyball and football pitch.

E-bike and mountain bike

Go higher, further, faster

Explore new paths by bike and get around in a relaxed, healthy and above all natural way. This is particularly easy in our Silberregion Karwendel. There are several scenic routes directly from the farm, which await bikers with or without muscle power.

Modern e-mountain bikes can manage day tours with over 1000 metres of altitude and even steep passages can be conquered with them. Set off on your e-bike to the Weidener Hütte, where you can savour typical home-made delicacies on the sun terrace!

The journey is the destination

The small (1924m) and large (2142m) Gamsstein is also an accessible destination for children from the "Loassattel". The Kellerjoch (2,344m) can also be reached from the mountain station of the Kellerjoch lift.

If you prefer something more challenging, there are three different routes to our local mountain, the "Gilfert" (2,506m).

Family and hiking programme

The family and children's programme takes place in July and August. There is a treasure hunt, adventures with horses, a storytelling session, a visit to Klaus the beekeeper and much more.

Guided hikes are just as much a part of the varied programme in the region as the Silbercard Summer. This offers numerous discounts for sights, museums, galleries and much more.
